For two decades, ME & Friends AG has stood for conscious engagement with the issues of people, health and nature.
The company founder, Michael Ertl, is aware of the special responsibility and places product quality at the centre of the company philosophy. We take comments from our customers personally and treat them with respect.
The reason for these regular product tests is not to collect certificates, but to critically scrutinise our products on an ongoing basis and have them tested.
In addition to product quality, we are increasingly focusing on ethical principles and the preservation of our environment. With the establishment of responsible supply chains, CO2 levies in the transport of goods and new environmentally friendly manufacturing processes, we are significantly reducing our carbon footprint.

ISPO Outdoor Award
The sole concept of the AuBioMo receives an award
Every year, the ISPO AWARD honours the industry's outstanding products.
An independent jury of experts evaluates according to precisely defined criteria and awards the products after evaluating the criteria.
In 2003, our AuBioMo shoes received the coveted award for the newly developed sole concept and the outstanding market growth in the second year after its introduction.
2010
Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V.
Award for certified back shoe
The purpose of Aktion Gesunder Rücken e.V. (AGR) is to promote research into the prevention of back pain and to disseminate the findings of these research efforts with the aim of making a contribution to combating the common affliction of back pain (§2 of the AGR e.V. statutes).
With the expertise gained from this and in close cooperation with medical experts, the AGR certified the following models of the CHUNG SHI brand:
AuBioMo, Duxfree Trainer, Duxfree Kids, DUX Clog, DUX Bio, DUX Sensi,
DUX Ortho, DUX Ortho Clog, DUX Winter, DUX Premium and DUX Kids.
2018
DIPQ Seal for product quality
The DIPQ (German Institute for Product Quality) analyses customer reviews of products from all over the world and rates them in comparison with homogeneous product categories.
In the process, the DUX Clog was determined as the comparison winner with a score of 1.8 and received the coveted DIPQ seal.
2015 to 2019
Plus X Awards
Various Duflex models received this award for ergonomic, ecological and high-quality products.
The Plus X Award is the world's largest innovation prize for the technology, sports and lifestyle sectors, which recognises brands for the quality and innovative edge of their products.
Due to very good results in the areas of ergonomics, ecology, quality and functionality, the following products received the Plus X Award:
DUX Clog 2015, DUX Future and Duxfree Berlin 2018, Duflerino 2019.

Climate neutrality

Small CO2 footprint = big step for the climate!
ME & Friends AG's commitment to climate protection was awarded the "very good" seal of approval by the German Institute for Quality Standards and Testing (DIQP). (DIQP) with the seal "very good".
The DIQP is an independent registered association that checks a company's compensation of greenhouse gas emissions as part of its certification.
"Climate protection is one of the most important tasks of our generation," emphasises Managing Director, Michael Ertl. "We have made the vision of a climate-friendly future part of our business strategy. And our long-term goal in doing so is not only to offset our emissions, but also to invest in climate protection projects."
